“All Jazzed Up!” THANK YOU to all who participated in this concert! I was so excited to see and hear the students perform these songs about Jazz & The Blues! Art Club did an amazing job in decorating our concert, narrators sounded great and our program covers were amazing! I am very proud and blessed to be working with such talented students. 3rd Grade students have started playing their recorders! Can’t wait to share this new way of playing and reading music! Students will show off for you at our April Open House!
IN THE BAND . . .
Students have been learning new concepts each week from their books, as well as 5th grade students have been creating variations of familiar songs each month. I am SO proud of the commitment my 5th grade students have shown. My 4th graders are already sounding awesome too! PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK AND INITIAL THE HOMEWORK RECORDS EACH WEEK. This also a way for you to see your childs’ weekly grades in band.
After School Beginning Band permission slips have been given to students. I am excited to start this group process after school on Tuesdays, beginning November 28 at Adler. Additional permission slips can be found at this link on Mr. Turner’s Band website: http://www.d70schools.org/teachersites/view.php?tid=65&page=res&cid=368&gid=16
