Dear Gator Families,
February is here!!!! Where did January go? I hope you are all planning on attending our AFA Carnival and Fifth Grade Raffle TOMORROW. It will be a great morning to spend together as an Adler community. The event starts at 9:00 and we are looking forward to a great turnout this year! Thank you to the raffle and carnival committees for planning such a wonderful event for us to do on this cold Saturday!
Please remember that morning drop off is in the back of the building. Any time you are dropping students off before 8:10, it needs to be in the back by the playground. We ask that you not drop off in the front by the office. We have noticed an increase in drop offs in the front and ask that all parents drive to the back for student supervision and safety reasons. Thank you!
Second grade students will be taking the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) next week. This is an aptitude test taken by all second grade students in D70. Results of the test guide efforts to adapt instruction to the needs and abilities of students and to measure cognitive development. CogAT results are used to help identify academically talented students. Results will be mailed to parents later this spring.
Finally, we are looking forward to seeing all parents for parent teacher conferences this month. If you forgot to sign up, we can still schedule a time to meet with you. Please email your child’s teacher to schedule a 15-minute appointment. Have a great weekend!
See you tomorrow,
Dr. Kerri Bongle
