Dear Adler Families,
Thank you to all the students and parents who came to Family Reading Night this week. We had a great turnout at Cook Memorial Library this year to hear Ms. Carr and Mrs. Hastings read two funny stories. It was great to see all our Adler families together looking for books in the children's department afterwards. Thank you to those who came out!
On November 10th we had our Super Student lunch. Students were nominated by their peers for the pillar of Citizenship. During this lunch students got to meet the other students nominated for Citizenship and we talked about what the pillar means to them. I really enjoy eating lunch with these students and talking with them about the importance of good character and leadership within their classrooms, grade level and within the school. Students nominated by their peers were:
K Dorf: Lucas B. and Anabelle A.
K Wisek: Madden Z. and Lazar M.
1 Zeinz: Liv T. and Kale H.
1 Gasick: Sasha S., Audrey M. and Austin C.
2 Davis: Kris A. and Kate M.
2 Adelman: Emerson Z., Chloe M. and Sophia K.
3 Turner: Evan H. and Tessa F.
3 Walker: Jonathon G. and Bella J.
3 Marsh: Merin J., Kira D. and Mubina S.
4 Bauer: Valerie A. and Paul G.
4 Furmanski: Ella G. and Ardra N.
5 Patterson: Autumn G., Max O. and Gwen D.
5 De Paz: Parker L. and Katleen G.
Finally, with the holidays around the corner, most of us will be doing some extra shopping at our local grocery stores. Adler Park has partnered with Heinen's Grocery Store (closest location in Lake Bluff on Waukegan Rd.) to raise money for our school through their Teaming Up For Education Program. Heinen's will donate back 1% of all sales to Adler Park when parents shop at any Heinen's locations. Parents can select Adler Park School when they sign up for the Tasteful Rewards Program and then 1% of all purchases will come back to Adler Park. A flier will come home with all students this week with ways to to sign up, but you can also visit Heinen's website to sign up (https://www.heinens.com/home/tasteful-rewards/). We look forward to teaming up with Heinen's and hope you consider when planning your holiday food shopping!
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families. I am thankful that I get the opportunity to be a part of this amazing Adler Park family. Each family brings something special to our community and I am grateful that you all share your beautiful children with us each day. Enjoy the holiday!
