Good afternoon,
I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful fall day and also a little extra happy (and sleepy) from the Cubs late win last night! Go Cubs! At Adler we are getting excited for Parent Teacher Conferences coming up next week. If you do not have a scheduled time, please reach out to your child's classroom teacher. Also please note, that our support staff and specials staff (PE, Music, Art, Learning Center, Special Education, Speech, Gifted/Enrichment, EL, Instructional Resource, and Social Worker) are all available to meet on conference nights. You can email them in advance or just stop into their rooms the night of if you would like to chat with them about student progress or curriculum questions. Also during conferences, please stop by the AFA Book Fair in the Learning Center. There are a lot of wonderful books and it is never too early to start holiday shopping!
Today I had a wonderful lunch with the students nominated for fairness this month. These students were nominated by their peers for modeling fairness in their classrooms:
Mrs. Dorf's room: Graham, Molly and Madelyn
Mrs. Wisek's room: Aubrey and Mia
Mrs. Gasick's room: Caleb and Emma
Mrs. Zeinz's room: Olivia and Max
Mrs. Adelman's room: Ben and Chloe
Miss Davis's room: Colin and Reese
Mrs. Marsh's room: Ava and Michael
Mrs. Turner's room: Veronica and Athan
Ms. Walker's room: Mia and Andrew
Mrs. Bauer's room: Daniel and Chloe
Miss Furmanski's room: Kajal and Alivia
Mr. De Paz's room: Kaitlyn, Jake and Elise
Mrs. Patterson's room: Kenzie and Ava
Congratulations to all these students for being role-models within our school!
Finally, do not forget to mark you calendars for NO SCHOOL on October 20th! I hope everyone has a great weekend and we will see you all next week!
