Dr. Bongle Dear Adler Families,
The 2017-2018 school year has come to an end, and what a great year it was! From the first day of school, to the Gator Gallop, to the Marriott Field Trip to Field Day….we have had some fun times. The staff is truly grateful for the time we get to spend with your children and hope you all have a relaxing summer with family and friends. Before you know it, we will be back here again for another great year of learning! Congratulations to Mrs. Zeinz for being nominated for the 2018 Regional Office of Education’s Excellence in Character award. This award was presented to Mrs. Zeinz at our Recognition Assembly last week and was given to her for outstanding character and for being such a great role model for her students each and every day. Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Zeinz for this recognition! With the year coming to an end, we have several staffing changes proposed for the next school year. Mrs. Adelman will be taking a one-year leave of absence to stay home with her beautiful baby girl. We will miss her greatly in second grade, but know she will have a wonderful year playing the role of Mom full-time. Taking Mrs. Adelman’s place for the year is Mrs. Turner who is going to move back down to 2nd grade. Mrs. Turner is excited to return to 2nd grade again after her one year stint in 3rd grade. We sadly have to say goodbye to several staff members changing buildings for next year. Mrs. Monahan will be joining Rockland School next year, and Miss Schnarr and Mrs. Patterson will be joining the Butterfield staff. We wish them luck in the new roles but know they will not be strangers. Mrs. Lisa Piskule will be returning to 5th grade after her one-year leave of absence and we are thrilled to have her back at Adler Park teaching again with Mr. De Paz. Finally, we say good-bye to Mrs. Beadle after 10 years of service to D70 and wish her luck in her new chapter of her life. She will be missed each day but the Adler doors will always be open to her to return! Thank you to the AFA for all their hard work this year on many different events and projects! A special thank you to Wendy Bownas and Nancy Ryan for their time as the AFA Co-Presidents. Many, many hours have been spent working on AFA events and all those events make Adler a better school so we truly thank them for their commitment to making Adler the best school around! We thank all the AFA members for their hard work this year and look forward to planning exciting events for the 18-19 school year. Finally, good bye to our Adler 5th Graders!!! You will be missed here at Adler Park. Good luck at Highland Middle School next year and make us proud as Hornets! However, never forget – Gators For Life!!!! I hope you all have a wonderful and safe summer and I look forward to running into Adler families around town these next couple months. We will see all of you back in August for our first day of school! Go Gators, Dr. Kerri Bongle Principal Adler Park School Dates to Remember:
